I've been talking to another user on here back and forth and they told me their local IKEA said they are discontinuing the dioder light strips. Last time I went to IKEA about a month or two ago I noticed the strips were sold out/unavailable. I went there to get another set to put inside my detolf that already has some in it so you can imagine how disappointed I was. Looking online I've noticed too that they are also unavailable.

It seems like they are trying to go more towards the round dioder lights. I bought a set but I feel like they aren't as suited to use in a detolf than the strip lights. (Maybe the strip lights were having issues? Mine haven't had any though)

I'm pretty bummed because re-doing my lighting will be a bit of a pain and I don't want to attempt to remove the dioder strips I have in currently in fear of damaging the glass and my detolf. I'll probably just have to remove/slip out the light itself but leave the adhesive part in the display case. If there's a safe way to remove the adhesive though please let me know.

Do you guys have any recommendations for what I can do? I want to re-do my lighting and make sure everything matches if they really are discontinued. (Edit: Also my dioder strip lights are older and I haven't been able to find the same color scheme. Should I honestly just try new lighting all together?)

I own a set of the round color changing dioder (link: www.ikea.com/us...) but don't know if I want to use those or if something else will look better. I'll be making a trip to IKEA again soon though for another detolf and to look at lighting so if you have lighting ideas feel free to post pictures/inspiration for me and tips.

Have any of you heard anything about the dioder strips being discontinued? What do you guys think of this if it's really true/how does it affect you? Any help and news at all would be much appreciated. Thank you!
