Tiger 3: Emraan Hashmi recalls being sceptical about playing the role of an antagonist
Emraan Hashmi, who plays the antagonist in Tiger 3, initially felt sceptical about playing a villain in the film. The actor also opened up about his experience of working with Salman Khan. 
In an interview with a leading news portal, Emraan shared that he was invited to meet with director Maneesh Sharma. At the meeting, Maneesh Sharma expressed interest in casting Emraan as the antagonist in the spy-thriller, Tiger 3. Talking about being hesitant regarding the role, Emraan said, "I was honestly a little sceptical, because when you hear the word ‘antagonist’, certain preconceived notions emerge in your mind.” However, he was truly amazed by the complexity, delicacy, and careful focus on every small aspect put into creating the character.
He further talked about working with Salman Khan and he revealed that he had almost worked with the actor on many occasions in the past. He stressed that he did not feel scared while working with Salman because they had been friends for a long time. Emraan added that he had a good rapport with Salman and did not feel intimidated by him. He explained that actors usually feel intimidated when they don't know their co-stars, but it was not the case with Salman as he knew him well. Emraan also shared that he had felt intimidated while working with Amitabh Bachchan in the past.
Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and features Salman Khan as RAW agent Tiger and Katrina Kaif as ISI agent Zoya. It is the third instalment in the Tiger series, following Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012).
